An advanced Hyperbaric technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the direction of a physician. They are responsible for documenting treatment details such as equipment settings, treatment duration, and patient response. AHT students will operate hyperbaric chambers and other hyperbaric support systems in accordance to all applicable safety standards and regulations. They are also responsible for cleaning the chamber and equipment according to infection control policies and routinely performing equipment checks as well as system maintenance.  This course is not an entry-level qualification. It is a certification beyond a qualified profession in the hbo medical field.

some of the subjects that will be covered are:  The physics, physiology, and pathophysiology involved in hyperbaric treatment;All oxygen delivery systems; Diver medical evaluations and treatment tables; the benefits, side effects, indications, and contra-indications of using oxygen.

Course Description

This course is a 40 hour seminar.  This is not an entry-level qualification. It is a certification beyond a qualified profession in the hyperbaric operator medical field. This program meets requirements to work as an Advanced Hyperbaric Technician (AHT) in a clinical environment and sit for the Board examination after 500 hours of documented  internship at an approved IBUM facility. upon successful completion of that exam, you will receivethe certification of Advanced hyperbaric technician (aht).  All reference materials are provided, the cost of the course is $995 which includes the $125 test fee to international board of undersea medicine (ibum)
