Course Description
Contact hours: 24
This course enables commercial divers, large and small diving companies, and contract divers to examine, maintain, annually overhaul and perform most repairs using the manufacturers’ recommended procedures. It teaches students how to properly refit the demand regulator side block and all connected Helmet and Band Mask mechanisms. It also teaches the students to discern what repairs should be performed only by Kirby Morgan dealers or those with further training. This course does not teach face port insert replacement or fiberglass and gel coat repair; these repairs must be completed by an authorized KMDSI dealer trained in these repairs. It will, however, teach students to identify the insert and fiberglass damage and where/how to have the repairs done.
